Last week I was invited to go to the Maasmechelen village with my family. My two girls have to go back to school soon, and they needed some new clothes to start the year in style.
The Village is definitely one of Belgium’s chicest places to shop. More than 100 Belgian and international brands have boutiques in the Village, each offering savings of up to 60% on the recommended retail price! Check all brands here. YAY!
You can imagine I was super excited to go there! Not only to shop for my girls of course 😉
To make our visit extra special Maasmechelen Village welcomed us in a separate space, set up for VIP visitors. It was a beautiful room with a view over the village, where you can relax and enjoy a drink. The unparalleled hospitality made us feel at home immediately!

After the warm welcome we were ready to hit the boutiques. We found some amazing outfits for the kids at RiverWoods. Josephine is in a phase where she only want to wear dresses. She picked out a red sweater dress and she insisted to get long knee-socks to finish her look. I was definitely pleased with her fashion decisions! My ‘tomboy’ daughter Marilou got some lovely blouses and colorful pants. With their extreme durability, they make great school uniforms!
Do you like the outfits we picked out at Maasmechelen Village?
If you’re into brands, you can easily spend a day here. After all this shopping we had an amazing lunch at Giulliano. We enjoyed a simple pasta dish -tomato ravioli with spinach- that was mind-blowingly good!
After lunch we discovered more boutiques like Ted Baker and Karen Millen, some of my favorites. The shopping village consists of one large main street with a few side streets. Vivid and colorful artwork by Oli_B is floating across the MMV facades, a true visual experience for color addicts like myself.
Instant happiness when walking through this landscape of vividness!
When I go shopping I like to take some short breaks from time to time. The girls had a yummy icecream and we ended the day with a delicious cappuccino at the HAPPY sign… that’s a perfect ending right?
It describes my feeling perfectly after experiencing this luxurious shopping at Maasmechelen village; I couldn’t be happier!
